OUR MISSION
To provide hope and create opportunities for the children in Haiti through education, food, and healthcare.
To provide hope and create opportunities for the children in Haiti through education, food, and healthcare.
Founded and operated since 2012 by the non-profit Out of Poverty through Education (OPTE), Hope Academy is a school in the rural town of Thomassique, Haiti that currently educates, feeds, and provides healthcare to 450 students who are orphans or the poorest of the poor. The school consists of three preschool classes (3, 4, and 5-year-olds) and grades 1-9. In addition to education, food, and healthcare, we provide books and uniforms and summer school, all at an annual cost of less than US $350 per child. All administration in the USA is volunteer, as is the school’s Haitian board of directors. 100% of all gifts and donations are used solely for school operations and services.
If you care to help us in our efforts, please click on the DONATE button. All funds and gifts received go towards the school and there are no overhead costs in the USA. All gifts are tax deductible.
